TONY DOTSON - American - Ohio -(1971 -

Outsider artist from Cincinnati, Ohio., 39 years old. 

I bought my first piece of folk art in 2002.  A Mose Tolliver Peko Bird....as soon as I saw it in my hands I knew I wanted to paint.  I went out that day and started painting.  I cal my art "caveman art"...I try to tell a story in a simple way...like a child would.  I had my first solo show in 2003 and haven't looked back.  I have sold pieces all over the country.  My work is in Proctor and Gamble's art collection as well as Jean Robert-Cavel.  I was published in Folk Art Messenger 2006...I have a show in June called "World Domination"...I haven't done a show in a couple of years, so kind of my return.....Tony Dotson
