ISABELLE S. WENGENROTH - American -(1875 - 1962)
Isabelle Wengenroth was born Mary Isabelle Stow on June 25, 1875 in Toledo, Ohio. Her parents were William Loomis Stow, Sr and Anna Jane Steele. Isabelle or "belle" as her family referred to her, married Frederic Wengenroth.
She died in Greenport, NY on July 13, 1962. Her son, Stow Wengenroth, is well known for his lithographs.

Isabelle Wengenroth was a painter, craftsperson and designer who lived at Bayport, New York. Her specialty was textiles. She studied with Winold Reiss, Albert Heckman, John Carlson and George Ennis.
