O. C. Madden - Canadian (1892-1971)

O.C. Madden was born in Napanee, Ontario of United Empire Loyalist descent. He studied under J.E.H. MacDonald of the Group of Seven, J.W. Beatty, Robert Holmes G.A. Reid, Peter Sheppard and William Cruickshank in 1912 at OCA. He was a member of the Graphic Arts Club. he exhibited with the RCA, OSA, Art Association of Montreal, CNE and Graphic Arts Club.

This is an original watercolour by listed Canadian artist Orval Clinton Madden (1892-1971). It is signed lower left recto and is a lovely depiction of the Knights Saw Mill in Burks Falls.
