1665 The Boulder Dam, Colorado River Project is located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River and will involve an expenditure of $120,000.000. To be completed about Jan. 1st 1938

The dam is 727 feet high, being more than twice the height of any concrete dam built to date. It will impound more than 26,000,000 acre feet of water, enough to cover the five states of New Hampshire, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont and Massachusetts.
