Gem Lake is one of the unique spots in Estes Park. It is three miles by trail from the village located at the top of the Rocky Rampart back of the Twin Owls. As its name implies it is a little gem of a lake set in a cleft in the huge rocks, tinged with a fringe of pines and filled with the reflections of the cliffs around it.
