In 1930 the "choice for art teacher at Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs was the New York Socialist, Boardman Robinson. He was taken to the local Republican boson like a prodigal son and even made instructor at Broadmoor. Soon after, Broadmoor found itself without a head. The board considered both Robinson and Randall Davey, but Davey withdrew from the running because of the decline of polo at Broadmoor."
